Hank the Chimpanzee, resident of the Chattanooga Zoo, will celebrate his 41st birthday on Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Zoo's location in Warner Park. Join the entire Zoo staff as they celebrate Hank's Day with games, crafts and even free birthday cake (while supplies last).

Hank's Day is one of the favorite Zoo events among families, children and our staff, said Executive Director Darde Long. It's a fun-filled day for everyone who attends and it's also very exciting for our chimp of honor, she said.

Hank won't be the only primate on the premises. Curious George will be on site to greet all attendees. Curious George is appearing as a partnership between the Zoo and The Creative Discovery Museum who will be unveiling their new summer Curious George exhibit from June 13 - Sept 27. 2009. It's great because after guests visit the real primates, they can go to the Creative Discovery Museum to explore another monkey as he makes his Chattanooga debut, said Ms. Long.

Both Chattanooga Zoo members and Creative Discovery Museum members can receive $1 off admission at the respective institutions now through Sept. 27.

Hank's Day is open to the public and is free for members and Director's Circle members with proof of membership card. For more information call 423 697-1319.
